Fresh, hot, homemade pancakes and savory sausage links for breakfast! Who can resist such yummy deliciousness? Certainly not me! But what happens when you put the sausage links directly into the pancake batter and bake it all in the oven? MAGIC, that's what happens!

Pancakes are one of my FAVORITE breakfast foods (that's why you'll see a few different pancake recipes on my blog).
This super simple pancake recipe comes together effortlessly (less than 10 minutes) and tastes soooo much better than any of the box mixes you can get in the store.
I used frozen breakfast sausage links here, but feel free to experiment with any of your favorite breakfast meats - whatever you have on hand! Cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage (think Jimmy Dean's or Bob Evans), chorizo, or even bacon would work perfectly.
I love making a full recipe on the weekend so we have lots leftovers for the week. They're so easy to reheat and every bite tastes just as fresh as the day I made them.
Here's what you'll need to make the pancakes:
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 3 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 ½ Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 packages frozen, brown and serve breakfast sausages OR 1 lb. of your favorite breakfast meat, cooked and crumbled
Combine the dry ingredients together. Add the milk and the melted butter to the lightly beaten eggs and whisk to combine. Slowly add the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
Pour the mixture into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Arrange the sausage links or cooked and crumbled breakfast meat on top of the batter

Bake at 450 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes or until golden. Allow to sit for a few minutes, then serve with butter and your favorite syrup!
